Craigellachie – 17 Year Old (75cl, 46%)

Craigellachie 17 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from Scotland, aged for 17 years and bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The distillery uses worm-tub condensers and an oily, old-fashioned style of spirit, which gives a bold, muscular malt with a meaty, sulphury character. Long maturation adds depth and richness, and the savoury edge is balanced by sweet sherried fruit. The palate is dried fruit, honey and toffee alongside the distillery's meaty, smoky-savoury note. The finish is long, rich and complex.
