Craigellachie – 17 Years Old

Craigellachie 17 Years Old is a Speyside single malt matured in a mixture of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The distillery's muscular, robust character comes from oil-fired stills and worm tub condensers, and it has been a prized malt for blending since the late 19th century. It does not follow the usual fruity and floral idea of Speyside. In this bottling the bourbon casks bring vanilla, toffee and fudge, while the sherry casks add richness and complexity.
