Craigellachie – 18 Year Old 2005 Single Cask #315075 (Artful Dodger Whisky Collective) (50cl, 54.4%)

This Craigellachie was distilled in 2005 and bottled at 18 years old from a single cask, number 315075, for the Artful Dodger Whisky Collective. It is a Speyside single malt in a 50cl bottle, at a natural cask strength of 54.4% ABV. Craigellachie is known for a weighty, meaty spirit, and the years in oak here give a more mature, polished version of it that remains firm and full of character. The nose offers baked apple, honey, citrus peel and soft oak spice. The palate is full and textured, with orchard fruit, malt sweetness, pepper and polished oak, leading to a long, warming finish.
