This is a 23 year old single cask, cask strength single malt from Craigellachie in Speyside, part of the Exceptional Cask Series. It was distilled on 19 August 1999 and bottled on 3 November 2022 at 55% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in an oloroso sherry cask, number 3, and 582 bottles were filled. It is a limited edition, bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose has dried fruit and toffee alongside a sulphur note. The palate is powerful and complex, sweet, fruity and spicy, with a subtle smokiness. The finish is long, warm and spicy, ending on vanilla and dark chocolate.
