Cream of Kentucky Cask Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at cask strength and unfiltered, made under Master Distiller Jim Rutledge. It is the Summer 2024 release, in a 750ml bottle.
It revives a brand dating to 1888, known as Double-Rich, which was popular in the early twentieth century and once promoted with Norman Rockwell artwork.
On the nose it shows honeyed fruit, caramel and toasted oak. The palate is rich, with dark caramel, vanilla, baking spice and oak, and the finish is long and warming with lingering sweetness.
