Cream of Kentucky Cask Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 53.2% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The bourbon is sourced from undisclosed Kentucky distilleries, selected and blended under Jim Rutledge, best known as master distiller at Four Roses, and bottled at Kentucky Artisan Distillery in Crestwood. The mashbill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley.
This is a Summer 2024 release. The nose brings vanilla wafers, mince pie, cashew and a touch of red pepper. The palate is soft and grain-led, moving through black tea, dark berries and coconut to chocolate, graham cracker and butterscotch. A cola note opens the finish, fading to light, nutty oak.
