Cream of Kentucky Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

Cream of Kentucky Small Batch is a straight bourbon bottled at 100 proof, or 50% ABV. It is distilled at the J.W. Rutledge Distillery in Kentucky Artisan Distillers' facility, from a mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. The brand dates from 1888 and was revived with Jim Rutledge, a distiller with nearly five decades at Seagram's. The nose is traditional, with vanilla, honeyed pome fruit, orange blossom and caramel. On the palate there is rich vanilla, crème brûlée, candied cherries, grassy rye and mint. The finish fades to a lingering sweetness.
