An 8 year old Benrinnes from Speyside, bottled by Creetown Distillers at 52% ABV. It was matured in a hogshead and then re-racked into an Australian wine barrique. The outturn was 334 bottles, and the whisky is natural colour and non-chill filtered. The red wine cask brings bright red fruit, citrus and a lively tartness to the malty spirit. The nose has strawberry jam and tart cherry juice over warm malt and dry hay, with a squeeze of lime. The palate is juicy with strawberries and red berries, turning to tart citrus, with vanilla and raisin. The finish is medium, with sweet cherry pie and a touch of citrus tang.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
