CRN57 30 Year Old is a blended malt Scotch whisky from The Cairn, a Highland distillery founded by the independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail. The distillery opened in 2022, and the CRN57 range blends existing malts to show its intended house style. This one is 30 years old and bottled at 51.9%. The nose is rich fruitcake, candied peel, cinnamon and Medjool dates, with polished oak and old leather. The palate is full-bodied and spicy, with black pepper, sultanas, dark forest fruits and dark chocolate. The finish is long and sweet, with liquorice and soft spice.
