Croftengea is the name independent bottlers use for the peated whisky made at Loch Lomond. This 18-year-old single malt was distilled in 2007 and spent its full maturation in a refill hogshead, before The Whisky Jury bottled it at 49.2% in a 70cl bottle. Only 277 bottles were released. The peat is savoury and almost cheesy, reminiscent of Campbeltown, with hedgerow berries and stone fruits alongside.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
