Crown Royal Black is a Canadian blended whisky bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made at the Crown Royal Distillery in Gimli, Manitoba, on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, from whiskies distilled from corn, rye and malted barley and matured in deeply charred oak barrels.
It won a Gold Medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Toasted oak leads the nose, with caramel, vanilla and sweet maple. The palate is creamy, with brown sugar, toffee, fig, gentle pepper and espresso. The finish is long and warming, with toasted oak, vanilla and soft baking spice.
