Crown Royal Extra Rare 32 Year Old is a blended Canadian whisky bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It includes some of the final stocks from the LaSalle distillery in Montreal, which closed in 1993. That whisky was distilled in Coffey stills and aged for more than thirty years in used barrels, then married with mature stocks from Crown Royal's Gimli distillery on Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba.
The nose offers dried fig, toasted oak, toffee, vanilla, baking spice and dried apricot. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with caramel, honeyed grain, roasted nuts, raisins, polished oak, cinnamon and clove. The finish is long, with dried fruit, warm spice, toasted oak, leather and tobacco.
