Currach is an Irish single malt named in tribute to the currach, the boat that carried early Irish monks to distant lands. It is made from Irish malted barley, triple distilled and matured in ex-bourbon casks, in a 70cl bottle at 46%.
What sets it apart is the finish, in a new oak cask toasted with wakame seaweed.
The nose is fresh, briny and very vegetal, and the malty and maritime notes work together.
