Cutty Sark Prohibition 18 Year Old (75cl, 50%)

Cutty Sark Prohibition is an 18 year old blended Scotch whisky, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle and non-chill filtered. The age is a minimum, and the strength is higher than that of the standard Cutty Sark. It recalls the years of American Prohibition, from 1920 to 1933, when this light-coloured blend was shipped to the Bahamas and passed on to the United States by rum runners. One of them was Bill McCoy, whose name for uncut, genuine spirit gave rise to the phrase 'the real McCoy'. Cutty Sark itself was founded in 1923 with the American market in mind.
