Cutty Sark is a blended Scotch whisky, created in 1923 as a rival to J&B. It soon became the most widely drunk whisky in the United States. After distillation it matures mainly in American oak casks. The nose is fresh, with vanilla and citrus. The palate is soft and sweet, with plenty of fruit, closing on nuts such as almond and hazelnut.
