Cutwater Spirits Black Skimmer is an American rye whiskey bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is a blend of straight whiskeys, made with some of the company's favourite whiskey distillers and then selected, curated and blended by Cutwater Spirits in San Diego, California.
The name comes from the black skimmer, a seabird also known as a cutwater, which gives the company its own name.
The tasting notes describe honey and almond sweetness at the start, black pepper warmth through the middle and a hint of clove.
