Devil's Share is a California single malt whiskey from Cutwater Spirits, distilled in San Diego from pure brewer's malt in small batches. It is bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle.
The whiskey spent four years in virgin, heavily charred American oak barrels. The name refers to the share of whiskey lost to evaporation during ageing, which leaves the remaining spirit more concentrated in flavour.
The tasting notes run to toasted malt, vanilla and light caramel, with honeyed malt, cinnamon, nutmeg and a warming oak spice.
