Dad's Hat Straight Rye is a Pennsylvania whiskey at 95 proof (47.5%), distilled from locally harvested grain and aged for a minimum of four years. It is described as the first straight rye made in Pennsylvania in over 25 years. The nose offers rye grass and burnt sugar with hints of vanilla. On the palate, pepper and cinnamon spice layer with green apple, fig and cocoa powder, leading to a long, smooth, lingering finish.
