This is the Daftmill Summer Release, a 12 year old Lowland single malt distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2026 at 46%. Francis and Ian Cuthbert run the distillery in Fife, and the Concerto barley came from the farm's southern fields, harvested in September 2011. Fourteen first-fill bourbon barrels were vattted for this edition, filling 3,775 bottles. It is unpeated, without added colouring and not chill-filtered.
The nose is buttery shortbread and barley sugar with floral notes, melon and a hint of green herbs. Peach and apricot open the palate, followed by creamy vanilla, malt, oats and a little ginger.
