This is a 15 year old Lowland single malt from the family-run Daftmill distillery, released as Fife Strength. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2024 at 56.3% ABV, without added colour and without chill-filtration.
It was matured in 19 first fill bourbon barrels and one PX cask, and the vatting gave 3,840 bottles.
The nose offers green apple, pear and citrus with honeyed vanilla and fine oak spice. The palate brings malty sweetness, spicy wood, caramel and floral notes, and the finish is long and warming.
