This is a Lowland single malt from Daftmill, selected by the French independent bottler La Maison du Whisky for its La Maison du Single Malt series. It was distilled on 8th July 2009 and bottled in 2020 at 60.6% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent 11 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt, and 649 bottles were filled.
The nose is described as citrus zest, ripe apple, dried apricot, cherry and cinnamon. On the palate come caramel and dark chocolate with dried figs and roasted nuts, leading to a long finish of nutmeg, plummy sweetness and toasted oak.
