Daftmill 2013 Summer Batch is a 12 year old Lowland single malt from the Cuthbert family farm in Fife, where the barley is grown and the whisky is distilled, matured and bottled. It was distilled in 2013, matured in bourbon oak and bottled in 2026.
The release is 3,775 bottles at 46% in a 70cl bottle, each signed by Francis and Ian Cuthbert.
The nose is green apple, ripe pear, lemon zest, honey and vanilla with meadow flowers. The palate is orchard fruit, creamy vanilla, honeyed malt and shortbread, with white pepper and toasted almonds. The finish is long and clean, with sweet malt and a floral freshness.
