A 16-year-old Speyside single malt from Dailuaine, bottled by the Artful Dodger Whisky Collective at a cask strength of 57.1% ABV in a 50cl bottle.
It was distilled on 13 November 2007 and bottled on 29 June 2024, with 732 bottles from the cask. Its final maturation took place in a single ex-Ardbeg sherry butt, an unusual choice that adds Islay peat smoke and a maritime barbecue influence to Dailuaine's robust, oily distillate.
The nose has delicate wood smoke, charred oak, fresh apples and pastry cream. The palate is thick and oily, with grilled meats, charcoal, black pepper and apple compote. The finish is long and dry, with smoked bacon, ash and fresh mint.
