A 16 year old single malt from Dailuaine, a distillery that lies in a hollow by the Carron Burn in Banffshire. It was bottled for Diageo's Flora & Fauna series, at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is described as full, sweet, deep and complex. The nose brings walnuts, butterscotch, dried and candied citrus peel and green herbs. On the palate it is sweet and warming, with Highland toffee, sugar-coated almonds, bright citrus, dried fruit and baking spice, followed by a lingering, nutty finish.
