A single cask Dailuaine from the Old & Rare range, distilled in 1973 and bottled at 46 years old by Hunter Laing. It comes from the company's oldest stocks of whisky and is bottled at a natural cask strength of 45.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Dailuaine is often known for a weighty character, but this one shows the fruitier, more tropical side of the distillery. Fresh fruit is balanced against riper, richer fruit, with oaky spice alongside. It is a golden, layered whisky that keeps the elegance of long ageing.
