This is a Speyside single malt from Dailuaine, distilled on 16 June 1998 and matured for 19 years. It was bottled in September 2017 at a cask strength of 57.7% ABV for Mackillop's Choice, with an outturn of 216 bottles, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is slightly peppery, dry and spicy, with malt and hints of Bovril. The palate is richer than expected, with nougat, nuts, runny honey and malty biscuits, and is nicely balanced. The finish is rich and spicy, building with cigar box oak.
