This is a 14-year-old Dailuaine, distilled in 2007 and bottled by Adelphi in 2021 at 54.1% ABV. It comes from cask 304331, a refill Oloroso sherry butt, and only 573 bottles were filled, in 70cl bottles.
The whisky is Sauternes in colour and shows a good bead. It is described as an atypical Dailuaine.
The nose brings Werther's Originals, caramelised bananas, custard and nut sundae, with crème brûlée, cookie dough ice cream and cream soda. On the palate come drinking chocolate, banoffee pie, condensed milk and Ovaltine, and the finish is dry and tannic.
