This is a 25 year old Dailuaine from 1997, a Speyside single malt bottled by independent bottler Wilson & Morgan at 53% ABV in a 70cl bottle. A total of 489 bottles were released.
Its final 27 months were spent in second-fill Pedro Ximénez casks, giving a richly textured whisky.
The nose is winey, resinous and intense, with dried fruits, a mineral quality and aromatic, almost incense-like woods. On the palate come grapes, tropical fruits, honey and pine resin over crème brûlée. The finish is long, with warming spicy tannins.
