This is a nine year old Dailuaine from Speyside, bottled by Duncan Taylor in its The Octave series. It was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2026 at 52.4%, after a finish in a small Pedro Ximénez octave cask.
The single cask, number 10952275, gave 86 bottles. The whisky is unpeated, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose is of strong malt, raisins and plums with caramel and chocolate. The palate brings dark dried fruit, a little liquorice and nutty sherry notes against dry oak spice. The finish is long and spicy.
