Dallas Dhu – 1978 15 Year Old First Cask Single Cask 2610 (70cl, 46%)

This is a single cask Dallas Dhu distilled in 1978 and bottled at 15 years old, in 1993 or 1994, by Direct Wines Ltd for its First Cask series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%, from cask 2610, without colouring or chill filtration. The label described it as a Highland whisky, though Dallas Dhu has since been formally defined as Speyside. The distillery closed a few years after this whisky was distilled, which makes it one of the younger examples of its age to be found today.
