A 25 year old Dallas Dhu single malt from the 1979 vintage, matured in a sherry butt and bottled by Chieftain's at 55% ABV. It is dark amber in colour.
The nose is rich in sherry, with crystallised oranges, sultanas, Grand Marnier, waxy and mineral notes, tar and rubber, and strong touches of absinthe and yellow Chartreuse. The palate opens on grapefruit and lemon marmalade with pepper, jammy quince, apricot, figs and a wide range of spices. The finish is long, orangey and rich.
