This is a single malt from Dallas Dhu, the Moray distillery near Forres that was built in 1898 and closed in 1983. It was distilled in 1979 and bottled on 11 January 2023 by Gordon & MacPhail for their Private Collection, at 54.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a refill bourbon barrel, cask 1404, and the bottling ran to 155 bottles. The distillery has been open to visitors as a museum since 1988.
