A 21 year old Dallas Dhu from the Rare Malts Selection, distilled in 1975 and bottled in April 1997 at a cask strength of 61.9%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
Dallas Dhu is a Speyside distillery that stopped production in 1983. The Rare Malts Selection was Diageo's series of cask strength bottlings from closed distilleries.
The nose is waxy, with honeycomb, linseed oil, dried apricot, orange zest and a touch of menthol. The palate is oily, with barley sugar, beeswax, plum, fig and pepper. The finish is long and dry, with wax, spice and old wood.
