A 24 year old Speyside single malt from Dallas Dhu, distilled in April 1981 and bottled in 2005 for Duncan Taylor's Rare Auld Cask Strength series. Dallas Dhu is now a silent distillery.
It was drawn from a single oak cask at its natural strength of 58.3% ABV, and the bottling is one of 523.
The nose is spicy, with flowers, wood and fruit, alongside fresh sour apples, dried fruit, sea water and honey. The palate is rich, with fruit, smoke and herbs, leading to a long, aromatic and gently smoky finish.
