Dalmore 15 Year is a Highland single malt Scotch from the distillery at Alness, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle.
The whisky spends its first twelve years in American oak ex-bourbon casks. It is then divided between three sherry cask types, Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem Oloroso, for a further three years of finishing.
The nose opens with orange marmalade, cinnamon, nutmeg and raisin. The palate is soft and citrus-led, with mandarin, vanilla, ginger and espresso bean, before coffee cake, prunes and milk chocolate. The finish is medium-long, with caramelised orange and dark chocolate.
