Dalmore – 32 Year Old 1974 Single Cask 504 (70cl, 52%)

This Dalmore was distilled in 1974 and matured for 32 years in a sherry butt, cask number 504. It was bottled in 2006 at a cask strength of 52% ABV, without chill-filtration, in a release of 780 bottles. The tasting notes describe a fine, complex nose of dried apricot and almond coated in coffee and grape notes, moving to chocolate, cloves and undergrowth. The palate is tannic and spicy, with pepper and ginger alongside mango and passion fruit, then lemon and flowers. The finish is long and smooth, with ripe mango, coriander, red fruits and incense.
