This is a 15-year-old Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Dalwhinnie, bottled at 43% (86 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It comes from a distillery in the remote Highland village of Dalwhinnie, one of the highest and coldest in Scotland.
The whisky is matured in oak casks and made with mountain spring water. Its smokiness is very light.
The nose is honey, heather and soft floral notes with a touch of fruit. The palate is smooth and rounded, with vanilla, malt, orchard fruit and gentle spice. The finish is warm and lingering, with subtle smoke and sweet oak.
