Dark Arts Ripple Rye Volume 3 is an 8 year old straight rye whiskey, bottled at 55.2% ABV. It is the third release in the brand's Ripple Rye series, and a limited edition.
The whiskey is finished in maple syrup barrels and with toasted Amburana oak staves. The maple barrels add a measured sweetness, while the Amburana brings baking spices and sweet wood.
Tasting notes describe French vanilla, ginger snaps, toasted hazelnuts and fresh cherries on the nose. The palate offers iced cinnamon rolls, candied ginger and orange zest, and the finish is velvety and persistent, with maple, holiday spices and oak.
