Dark Arts Whiskey House Toasted Mizunara Oak Staves is a straight bourbon whiskey from Kentucky, in a 75cl bottle, made with toasted Mizunara oak staves.
The nose combines butterscotch, sandalwood, toasted oak and dried berries with vanilla custard and freshly baked bread. The palate is rich and creamy, with snickerdoodle cookies, gingerbread spice and lemon, then brown butter yeast rolls, cardamom and nutmeg over vanilla cream and toasted oak.
The finish is long, with sugar cookie dough, nutmeg and cinnamon, followed by toasted oak, creamy vanilla, leather, toffee and stewed fruits.
