This is a 13 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Darkwood, finished in Caribbean rum casks and released as Cask No. 5. It is a limited edition, bottled at 50.9% in a 70cl bottle.
The rum cask finish is the defining feature of the bottling. It is said to add tropical sweetness and warming spice while the malty character of the whisky remains in place.
It is typically described with notes of ripe banana, grilled pineapple, vanilla, molasses and toasted oak.
