A VS Cognac from De Luze, made from grapes selected in the Grande and Petite Champagne areas of the Cognac region in France. It has a light amber colour.
The nose shows floral and fruity notes, with fresh apple and pear alongside vanilla and sweet oak from ageing in oak barrels. On the palate it is soft and velvety, with fresh fruit joined by sweet spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg, leading to a long, persistent finish.
It is best enjoyed neat at room temperature or in classic cocktails such as an Alexander or a Sidecar. The family has produced Cognac since 1822.
