Dead Man's Hand Whiskey (75cl, 40%)

Dead Man's Hand Whiskey is a small-batch California whiskey, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% barley, with the grain prepared in Kentucky and distilled in California. It is finished in toasted French oak barrels. The name comes from the poker hand of aces and eights that Wild Bill Hickok was holding when he was shot in 1876. The bottle is hand-dipped in wax, hand-screened and kiln-baked. The nose is oak, maple, vanilla and lightly spiced caramel. The palate is full-bodied, with sweet oak, vanilla and rye spice, and the finish is smooth and slightly dry, with a hint of oak and lingering sweetness.
