Deadwood Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 40.5%)

Deadwood Straight Bourbon is a small-batch bourbon from Proof & Wood Ventures, bottled at 40.5% in a 750ml bottle. The mash is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, and each batch is blended from about 20 barrels. It was distilled in Indiana, blended and bottled in Bardstown, Kentucky, and aged for a minimum of two years in new 53-gallon charred American oak. Proof & Wood calls it an American table whiskey, and the name comes from the frontier town of Deadwood. The nose is date and nutmeg. On the palate there is Bosc pear and light vanilla, and the finish carries lingering caramel.
