This is a 20 year old Ledaig, the heavily peated single malt from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. Decadent Drinks bottled it independently in 2026 as part of its Island Hopping collection, from a single refill hogshead. Only 249 bottles were produced.
The whisky was distilled in 2005 and is bottled at natural cask strength of 53.1%.
The nose brings coastal peat smoke, green olives, pickled vegetables and fresh herbs, with subtle vanilla. The palate is bold and maritime, with olive brine, lemon, white pepper, smoked oysters and fennel. The finish is long, dry and smoky, with sea salt, peat and citrus.
