Del Bac Frontera is an American single malt from Tucson, Arizona, made from 100% malted barley and released once a year. It was originally matured in new American white oak, then finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry botas from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
Bottled at 48.5% ABV, it is a limited release of 1,200 bottles.
Dried fig, dark caramel, toasted oak and cocoa come through with a whisper of campfire smoke, and the sherry finish adds raisin and molasses sweetness balanced by desert spice.
