Del Maguey San Luis Del Rio Mezcal (70cl)

Del Maguey San Luis Del Rio is a mezcal from San Luis del Rio in Oaxaca, Mexico, made using traditional methods. It uses only Espadín agave, grown for about eight to nine years, then cooked in conical stone pits covered with earth. The agave is crushed, fermented with pure local water and natural yeasts in open wooden vats, and distilled in small copper stills. The result is a clear mezcal with an intense, complex aroma. On the nose there are notes of cooked fruit, smoked wood and a subtle trace of pepper. On the palate it is full and rich, combining agave sweetness, smoke and a light mineral touch. It can be enjoyed neat or used as a base for refined cocktails.
