Del Maguey Tobalá is a single village mezcal made from the wild Tobalá agave, bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The agave grew on a tropical hillside close to Santa Maria Albarradas, where the mezcal was also crafted.
It is made with wild fermentation and double pot still distillation, giving a fruity, floral and saline character.
On the nose there is magnolia and honeysuckle, then tropical fruit and a fresh seaweed note. The palate brings mango and pineapple, with cinnamon and bell pepper, all in a gentle, creamy texture. The finish is long and soft, with lingering green vegetable notes.
