This is a Texas bourbon from Devils River, bottled at barrel strength of 58.5% ABV (117 proof) in a 75cl bottle.
Despite the strength it is described as smooth, with a bold, concentrated flavour and plenty of warmth. It can be taken neat, with a few drops of water, or over a large cube of ice.
The palate shows oak, honey, caramel and spice, followed by a long, warming finish.
