Dewar's 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky in a 750ml bottle at 40% ABV. It was relaunched in 2022 by Master Blender Stephanie Macleod and combines thirty single malt and grain whiskies, each aged for at least twelve years.
It follows the house's double ageing method: the whiskies are blended, rested, then finished in first-fill bourbon casks. Dewar's was founded in Perth in 1846.
The nose shows apple, ripe peach and lemon zest. The palate is floral, with spice and rich fruit, and the finish is robust, with vanilla, butterscotch and a wisp of smoke.
