Dewar's 15 Year is a blended Scotch whisky in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is put together from malt whiskies from Aberfeldy, Aultmore, Craigellachie, Royal Brackla and Macduff, along with grain whisky.
It is double-aged. Each component is first matured separately for at least fifteen years, then the blend is returned to oak casks for a second period of maturation.
The nose is honeyed fruit and warm vanilla, with soft florals, toffee and a faint wisp of smoke. On the palate come green apple and citrus, then buttery toffee and sultana. The finish is medium to long and gently smoky, with honey and toasted oak.
